Lampson U-Pick Blueberries

We call our berries "no-spray" which means we don't spray the plants or fruit with any chemicals.  However, we do use commerical fertilizers and herbicides on the ground below plants.  This means we are not Organic.  Note that Organic blueberries are in fact often sprayed, even heavily sprayed, but the chemicals used will be Organic certified.

The only insect pest we have in our area is Spotted Wing Drosophila.  It is normally not an issue until late in the season, so we monitor for it and sometimes use a non-spray non-toxic alternative control method that has worked for us in the past.   In years with cold winters that have below zero temps, Spotted Wing is normally not a problem, so we don't expect any issues in 2024!
